Leuke klim door het bos over onverwacht goed asfalt. Het begin naar de klim toe bevat op het moment wat rotzooi door boswerkzaamheden.
Lovely climb on a remote tarmac road which by the way has good tarmac. You finish at the same place as all climbs towards Baraque Michel but now you come from the south so this climb is a great alternative for the last part of the climb on the main road from Malmedy.
The climb starts in a very nice little brook valley (with hide) and goes up slowly at first but later on it gets a lot harder (it felt heavier than the 8％ indicated). On the left is the forest, on the right beautiful views over the moorland and also to the rear. After the hard section, the route becomes more relaxed and eventually alternates between flat, descending or slightly ascending. The last part goes slightly up through the forest to the main road.
Heerlijke klim over een afgelegen asfaltweggetje wat overigens wel goed asfalt heeft. Je eindigt op dezelfde plaats als alle klimmen richting Baraque Michel maar je komt nu vanuit het zuiden zodat deze klim een prachtig alternatief is voor het laatste stuk van de klim over de hoofdweg vanuit Malmedy.
De klim begint in een zeer fraai beekdalletje (met schuilhut) en gaat eerst rustig omhoog maar verderop wordt het even een stuk steviger (het voelde zwaarder aan dan de aangegeven 8％). Links het bos, rechts mooi uitzicht over het hoogveengebied en ook naar achteren mooie uitzichten. Na het stevige stuk wordt het weer relaxter en uiteindelijk wisselend tussen vlak, dalend of licht stijgend. Het laatste deel loopt door het bos lichtjes omhoog naar de hoofdweg.
