Tackled in June 2025 for fear of the "alpine road" the last 5 km before the "goat jump" never ends. From the summit to the top of the Grappa then it is a spectacle: at times the road advances halfway up the mountainside with marvellous views. It must be tackled with the right gears and the right water reserves: there are no fountains. I would avoid it on the descent: there are less steep slopes with wider roadways (Semonzo)... read more

This climb is known as the salto della Capra and from Fietta it connects with the road from Pederobba to Cima Grappa. In the final stretch it connects with the Giardino road that leads from Semonzo to Cima Grappa. The climb is characterised by impossible gradients from about km 5 to km 10. You always pedal above 10% and in some places you approach 20%

Splendid and demanding climb, in my opinion one of the most beautiful in the Grappa massif. The first 4.5 km from the junction for San Liberale are never too challenging. The remaining 3.5 km to the Salto della Capra are the most challenging with several sections on the 20 %. In my opinion, the climb is definitely easier than the nearby Strada degli Alpini.
