The climb up Salmopol from the Szczyrk side seems easier than from Wisła. The gradient is quite stable along the whole length. It is worth going there on weekdays, as the traffic is quite intense at weekends

I make this ascent from the roundabout in Buczkowice.
I recommend choosing weekdays, as at weekends the drive through Szczyrk is breakneck and reduces the time possibilities.
The beginning up to the traffic lights is busy and rather fast. Later on, it starts to pick up. From the lifts, the ascent becomes more difficult. Unfortunately, it is mainly through forest, so the views are only at the top.
I recommend it because it is a nice long uphill for Polish conditions, the asphalt is good, the descent to Wisła is nice. The descent to Vistula is nice.

Recommended. As for Polish conditions of mountain driving, it is a bit of a classic. The pass is not difficult, from Szczyrk side it is quite long on such a lazy hill, only the end has a chance to catch something if you want to ride hard, but if you prefer lazy splashes, go ahead, it is not one of those places where the front wheel breaks away from the asphalt.

Yes, it is rather long. The views are probably very nice (unfortunately I didn't see a thing, thick clouds obscured everything) and the road is in very good condition. Descent to Wisła is fast but safe, providing lots of fun.
I was a little underwhelmed, with the mountain pass surprising me by appearing much faster than I expected. I was mentally prepared for some steep section that never really came. But as a way of reaching other, more challenging climbs in the area - it serves that purpose very well.
