Nergens wordt de klim steiler dan 2-3％. Wat dit stuk wel een stuk zwaarder kan maken is de wind die hier vrij spel heeft en die je hier vaak tegen hebt.
Geniet van de mooie uitzichten en kijk uit in een paar blinde bochten, het kan op deze smalle weg wel redelijk druk zijn met andere fietsers, wandelaars en auto's,

Op zich een relaxte klim, ondanks de behoorlijke lengte. De weg golft wel behoorlijk op en neer dus je kan zeker niet van vals plat spreken. Enkele hellinkjes zijn wat pittiger. Toch voel je deze klim wel in een paar hellinkjes en zeker na een paar kilometer. Dit ligt niet zozeer aan deze klim maar wel aan de manier om bij het begin te komen: via één van de Gulperberg-beklimmingen. Ik had de klim vanuit Partij genomen en als je daar boven bent gekomen komen er dus meteen nog ruim 80 hoogtemeters achteraan.
Onderweg fraaie uitzichten naar beide kanten en zeker als je achterom kijkt. Da's echt genieten. Dat geldt zeker als je deze klim afdaalt en Gulpen voor je ziet opdoemen.
