De klim begint via een smalle asfalt weg door een stukje bos en daarna heb je uitzicht op het groen van Flobecq.
Als je rondkijkt merk je de kenmerkende masten op. Altijd handige herkenningspunten wanneer je verdwaald in de buurt.
Onderweg kom je ook nog een pittoresk kapelletje tegen.
Het lastige stuk van de klim zit in het begin, vanaf Lumen kan je tempo maken en fiets je via het bekende "Chalet Gerard" tot aan de N48 Ronse - Brakel.
