Topper! Steep start, straight up through the bend, then long spur. Once on the concrete track, you can also turn right: Geron down and then Hurdumont and Plachettes. Nice trio!
Topper! Steil begin, rechtopstaand door de bocht, en dan lange uitloper. Eenmaal op de betonbaan kan je ook naar rechts: Geron naar beneden en dan Hurdumont en Plachettes. Mooi trio!
The first part is nice, but the second half on that concrete track is not at all exciting. Why thin this climb when you can also go up along the Bois de la Houppe?
Het eerste stuk is leuk, maar de tweede helft op die betonbaan bolt van geen meter. Waarom zou je deze klim dun als je ook langs het Bois de la Houppe naar boven kunt?
Beautiful surroundings, but the terrible road surface is a problem. Put this climb in another region and it belongs to the top, but here I would always choose the Géron above this one...
Prachtige omgeving alleen gooit het vreselijke wegdek roet in het eten. Leg deze klim in een andere streek en het behoort tot de toppers, maar hier zou ik steeds de Géron boven deze kiezen...
Nice alternative to Bois de la Houppe.
The climb starts on a narrow asphalt road through a forest and then you have a view on the greenery of Flobecq.
If you look around you'll notice the characteristic masts. Always useful landmarks when you get lost in the area.
Along the way you'll also come across a picturesque little chapel.
The difficult part of the climb starts at the beginning, from Lumen on you can speed up and you'll pass by the well known "Chalet Gerard" until you reach the N48 Ronse - Brakel.
Leuk alternatief voor Bois de la Houppe.
De klim begint via een smalle asfalt weg door een stukje bos en daarna heb je uitzicht op het groen van Flobecq.
Als je rondkijkt merk je de kenmerkende masten op. Altijd handige herkenningspunten wanneer je verdwaald in de buurt.
Onderweg kom je ook nog een pittoresk kapelletje tegen.
Het lastige stuk van de klim zit in het begin, vanaf Lumen kan je tempo maken en fiets je via het bekende "Chalet Gerard" tot aan de N48 Ronse - Brakel.
