The climb leads through forests for a long time but the last part goes through moorland and offers beautiful views. If you pass a monument of a smuggler you have completed the climb. Definitely worth the effort!
Een prettige verrassing! De klim gaat over een rijksweg, maar toen ik m beklimmingen was het niet al te druk (zaterdag in de kerstvakantie) en het verkeer gedroeg zich erg hoffelijk. De klim leidt lange tijd door bossen maar het laatste stuk gaat door veengebied en biedt prachtige uitzichten. Als je een monument van een smokkelaar passeert heb je de klim volbracht. Zeker de moeite waard!

De klim is niet steil maar de lengte en de behoorlijk wisselende percentages maken het toch wel zwaar. Lange rechte stukken maar vanwege de tussenliggende bulten kan je - gelukkig - niet heel ver vooruit kijken want mentaal is het nu toch al pittig. Mooie groene omgeving maar vanwege de vele bossen niet vaak uitzicht. Wel vaak beekjes langs de weg met soms watervalletjes. Toch genoten van de klim want het is voor Benelux-begrippen toch wel een uitdaging.

Because of the monotonous landscape and the almost straight road there seems to be no end to the false flat and the occasional bumps. Don't focus too much on the height profile, in my experience it's more up and down than indicated here. Watch out for traffic that often passes by here at a higher speed than the 70km/h allowed.
Zeer lange en saaie klim. Het wordt maar op enkele plaatsen echt steil. Door het eentonige landschap en de nagenoeg rechte baan lijkt er geen einde te komen aan het vals plat en de occasionele bulten. Focus niet te hard op het hoogteprofiel, naar mijn ervaring is het meer op en neer dan hier aangegeven staat. Opgepast voor verkeer dat hier vaak tegen een hogere snelheid dan de toegelaten 70km/u voorbijraast.
