Magnificent ascent, splendid views, very little traffic.
The altimetry corresponds perfectly, even the descent is covered without too many problems.
Going down to Piobbico for the would be a gamble given the road conditions

Salita Magnifica, panorami splendidi, pochissimo traffico.

Done mid-August 2023. Beautiful climb on a narrow road with gravel asphalt but wonderful views of the hills of the Pesaro hinterland. It climbs smoothly with 18 hairpin bends. It flattens out about halfway up where it concedes a 4% for about 200-300 metres. At the top is first Mount Pantano with the lap stone, then from there it flattens out to the last part towards the antennas. Few cars go up this side of Pianello, but look out for the descent towards Serravalle, which is much busier.

Fatta ferragosto 2023.

It is one of the climbs of the 2009 Giro d'Italia; very scenic, difficult enough, no traffic, asphalt not optimal for the descent (much better to descend towards Serravalle di Carda). In the last kilometres, watch out for grazing horses. One of the peculiarities regarding this climb is that if it is tackled together with the other two alternatives on the same day, you can request the Monte Nerone brevet, i.e. a certificate of participation that confirms the feat accomplished (45 km of climbing for 3480 metres of elevation gain!); for the climb from Piobbico it is better to use a MTB or a Gravel, as the asphalt is in very poor condition.

Very nice climb! Zero traffic, only seen some stray horses! Indeed, it is best to have thicker tread in order not to have a flat tyre, less good tarmac and occasional gravel strips. Pity that the RAI antenna does not allow the public to reach the real summit of Monte Nerone. Descent towards Serravalle di Carda, fast, good asphalt and wide road preferable.

Zeer mooie beklimming!

Nice climb. Bad tarmac, unsuitable for descending as there is a lot of loose gravel. The last part of the climb had horses running loose on the road.

Mooie beklimming.
