The road surface is not too bad. Very nice irregular climb along winding narrow lanes before seeing off into the woods one last time. This is the toughest side of Vault Mountain I've already done.

Fine way to climb Kluisberg. First part consists of an alternation of steep and less steep sections. Couple of nasty kinks 12 to 14%. Second part is then classic through the forest. I actually like that less. Lots of walkers and annoying gutters that cross the road. Better give me the Trieu a bit further on then!

Hardest climb of the Kluisberg - moderate road surface, but that doesn't bother when riding up. After the first steep section you think the worst is behind you, but behind a 90° bend follows the steepest part. Then you come to the well-known Kluisberg route and you do have to ride all the way up (also not to be underestimated).

Maybe the least known climb of the Kluisberg (on the Walloon side called Mont-de-l'Enclus) and probably the most beautiful, a narrow steep winding road with beautiful views on the surroundings. Unfortunately the road surface is not in the best condition, nevertheless it is perfectly doable with a racing bike.
