Narrow road, and on the hardest 400m, there are a few speed bumps that slow us down even though we're already on steep gradients. At the end of these 400m, there's a small flat transition to join the end of the climb up to the Porte d'aire and so reach the cobbled square in Cassel.... read more

This is a really lovely route. You walk along a bucolic little road that winds through beautiful trees and then suddenly you find yourself in front of the Cassel ramparts and beautiful brick buildings.
As a first approach to Mont Cassel, it's a real "success"! !
The road is very narrow and deserted.
It climbs steeply for 400 metres and that's why we came!
I really enjoyed this slope.
