Yes, the summit of Mont Agel is a prohibited military site.
The first part of the route takes place in Monegasque traffic jams. The principality's cars may be beautiful, but they stink no less than anyone else's.
The second section between Monaco and La Turbie is formidable. Finally, it's the last few kilometres that are really tough. But at least the sea views are pleasant.
The third part is much easier. In particular, you cross the golf course of Her Majesty the Little Rock.
And here we are in front of this menacing sign.
What's the verdict? Nothing to see up there. But it's a hell of a climb nonetheless, taking us on a strange ride through the streets of Monaco and onto a path that nobody takes because it leads nowhere.
A curious experience! I don't regret it.
The descent to Cap d'Ail is quite exhilarating.
