This climb is long, keep that in mind! By that I mean, provide yourself with enough drinks, adopt an achievable pace (you'll need to be able to keep this up for about 3/4 of an hour, depending on how fast you do it) Along this side it's very doable, no super steep sections, even climb.... We drove up to the sea, so from all the way down, matter of doing as many altimeters as possible, lol. Watch out in summer for heat! I would recommend this one in spring or autumn... read more

If you want a long and leisurely drive in even nicer scenery then I recommend the ascent from Puerto de la Cruz. Plus a better temperature. If you want a more difficult one then I recommend via Vilaflor. Nevertheless, it's also a nice but very long climb. You need to stock up on food and replenish as much water as possible.

Trzeba mieć zapasy jedzenia i uzupełnić maksymalnie wodę.

Mighty climb with no end in sight but doable. If you take it easy you will get to the top. Note that there are very few stopping places along the way for any co-riders. After Restaurante las Estrellas, not long after turning onto the TF-38 El Teide, there are no more restaurants to refill your water bottles up to the top either; from here it is at least another 30km.

trickiest section at the beginning towards Tamaimo, classifying is the message, never really steep but very long

Very long climb that is never really difficult. The first 6km are the steepest, if you do not start too fast and remember that you have to climb 50km you will get there. Good road surface and especially when you get higher very impressive views and scenery. I was there in the winter and then it is warm at the start and at the top of the National Park Teide it can be very cold and windy. So make sure you have enough clothes with you to protect you against that. Also in the descent you will need them.
