Nice climb, good tarmac and not too much traffic. The start is quite tricky but once you get past that it's good to do.
Blessed climb! Last one of our route. Scary image when you see the first part! Nice tarmac little traffic, varied gradients.
Zalige klim! Mooie tarmac weinig verkeer, afwisselende hellingshoeken.
Climb starts on a provincial domain, very steep part to start the climb. After that, it continues to climb nicely with alternating steeper and more running sections. A climb of 235 altimeters is certainly not bad in this area!
Agree with the other comments, did it several times in Spring 2021; take it easy on the start ("wall") where gradient can be up to 18% according to bike computer
The climb actually starts with a wall. Once you've crossed it, steeper and flatter parts alternate on good asphalt and in a wooded area. The road is not overcrowded, but not exactly deserted either (it is an N-road for a reason). One of the longest climbs in the area, especially in combination with the gradients. Worthwhile in every way.
In fact, the first 300 metres of this climb are the most difficult. When you reach a large car park at the Fourneau Saint-Michel, the road rises quite steeply. Fortunately, the steep part is not long, but you have to hang on. After that, it still goes up for about 2 km, so don't underestimate the length. We ride on a national road, but the traffic is not important at all and we cross a forest.
