Climb starts on a provincial domain, very steep part to start the climb. After that, it continues to climb nicely with alternating steeper and more running sections. A climb of 235 altimeters is certainly not bad in this area!
Klim begint aan een provinciaal domein, erg steil stuk om de klim te beginnen. Daarna blijft hij lekker doorklimmen met afwisselend steilere en meer lopende stukken. Een klim van 235 hoogtemeters is in deze buurt zeker niet mis!

The climb actually starts with a wall. Once you've crossed it, steeper and flatter parts alternate on good asphalt and in a wooded area. The road is not overcrowded, but not exactly deserted either (it is an N-road for a reason). One of the longest climbs in the area, especially in combination with the gradients. Worthwhile in every way.
De klim begint zowaar met een muur. Eens je die over bent, wisselen steilere en vlakkere stukken elkaar af op goed asfalt en een bosrijke omgeving. De weg is niet overbevolkt, maar ook niet bepaald verlaten (het is niet voor niets een N-weg). Een van de langste klimmen uit de buurt, zeker in combinatie met de stijgingspercentages. De moeite waard alleszins.
In fact, the first 300 metres of this climb are the most difficult. When you reach a large car park at the Fourneau Saint-Michel, the road rises quite steeply. Fortunately, the steep part is not long, but you have to hang on. After that, it still goes up for about 2 km, so don't underestimate the length. We ride on a national road, but the traffic is not important at all and we cross a forest.
A vrai dire, les 300 premiers mètres de cette côte sont les plus difficiles. Lorsqu'on arrive à hauteur d'un grand parking à hauteur du Fourneau Saint-Michel, on voit la route s'élevée assez sévèrement. Heureusement, la partie raide n'est pas longue, mais il faut s'accrocher. Après, cela monte quand même encore pendant 2 kilomètres environ, il ne faut pas sous estimer la longueur. On roule sur une nationale, mais le trafic n'est pas important du tout et on traverse une forêt.
