This climb still comes up in my nightmares from time to time. In itself not such a difficult climb - certainly helped by fresh asphalt - but this climb was in my 'Borders of Belgium' ride on the route after 230 kilometers with a heavily packed bike and under a leaden sun: puffing!... read more

First part before the castel des sorbiers a climb at 10.5 and then a descent at 8.
Then a nice uphill road to the crossroads.

So I went up that hill, and it wasn't easy. Then I went down, and had had it. I thought. But then part two hit like a bomb, and that was even twice as hard as the first part. Man man man man. By the way, the road is quite crowded. At the top it is pretty with those windmills like that, though.

Man man man.

These are really two separate climbs. The first is through the village, then after a slight descent, it climbs steadily but steadily upwards on a nice road in good condition.

Tough double climb over a nice and wide track. It can be a bit crowded here at times. If you turn right at the end, you can connect to the end of another climb. This gives you another false flat of a few kilometres.

The double climb starts after you have crossed the beautiful bridge over the Maas (the last one on Belgian territory) in Heer-Agimont. Through the village centre of Heer it is a bit tough until the first plateau with nice views over the Meuse valley, followed by a steep descent into the forest which goes back via some bends to a slightly longer climb to the second top at the crossroads.
Nice two-part Ardennes climb with good tarmac and not too much traffic.

Nice climb which in my opinion consists of 2 separate climbs. It's on a connecting road between Heer and the main road between Dinant and Beauraing, but the traffic is not too bad. The road has recently been rebuilt, so the asphalt is as smooth as can be. The first part, which I would call côte de Heer, is quite steep, especially if you take the village street of Heer instead of the N989. After a fast and winding descent, you arrive at the côte Marie-Thérèse which is quite constant. Nicely sheltered from sun and wind by the trees you can unleash your devils here.
