Ideal climb for climbers who like a pace full. Percentages are not too bad. Little shade and a slightly busier road. Once on top of the Wettstein, turn right to Collet du Linge. Here you enter a more wooded area which is quite pleasant on hot days. This last part is the least difficult. Once at the top, you can visit the museum on WW1. The descent towards 'Trois Epis' is very pleasant and safe to include if you want to cycle a tour.... read more

Ascent actually starts when leaving Munster, using the first kilometers of the Schlucht to follow the road towards the Wettstein until the turnoff after Soultzeren on the right. To the summit at Le Linge it is about 13 km from Munster. Road is in pretty good shape and also traffic is not too bad (especially compared to the first part on the Schlucht). During the ascent you cycle partly through forests but also partly through open countryside. If the ascent is a bit harder you can also cycle via Hohrod to Le Ligne.

After descending the Schlucht in Soultzeren, immediately onto the Wettstein. Good road surface. And an intense rest after the hustle and bustle of the Schlucht. Nice percentages, not extreme. On top of the Wettstein, turn right to Linge where you have to pay attention to a bit of history.

A pleasant climb, with good views of the Munster valley at the start.
The road is quiet and the surface is good. Easy percentages between 4 and 5% most of the time, 3% after the Wettstein pass at 880m.
It's a good complement after the Col de la Schlucht (and in the same exit as the Petit Ballon).
