Other calm and the ultra-famous name... A pretty tough flight. Bad luck, the road was recently covered with gravel (June 26). Its condition should improve rapidly. We saw Falcons(?) and very few cars.... read more

This one came to me in a round trip after Hautacam and Spandelles. On a sunny afternoon in August, it was very practical to refill from the tap in Ferrières. Relatively even climb with constant 7-8% on good tarmac and with little traffic. From 4-5km from the top, nice views of Aubisque and its's flanks.

This is a lesser-known ascent of the Soulor. It starts in the forest and therefore in the shade. The climb is fairly steady, but it can be windy. The last few kilometres offer breathtaking views.
The surface is of good quality (August 2024) and the road is little used apart from a few motorbikes.
