I found it a tough climb. The average percentages give a distorted picture. Regular bits of 10％ and more with a short spike to 15％. The view atop the Soulor compensates a lot....
Ik vond het een zware klim. De gemiddelde percentages geven een vertekend beeld. Regelmatig stukjes van 10％ en meer met een korte uitschieter naar 15％. Het uitzicht boven op de Soulor vergoedt veel..
After an undulating approach from Argelès-Gazost, the real work begins. On nice tarmac the road winds uphill, keep an eye out for stray cows and sheep in climb/descent. All in all, climb that is doable, given the varying percentages (profiles are often treacherously 'easy') some standing power is recommended to overcome the steeper bits.
Na een golvende aanloop vanuit Argelès-Gazost begint het echte werk. Op mooi asfalt kronkelt de weg naar boven, houd rekening met loslopende koeien en schapen in klim/afdaling. Al met al klim die goed te doen is, gezien de wisselende percentages (profielen zijn vaak verraderlijk 'makkelijk') is wat staand vermogen aangewezen om de steilere stukjes te overwinnen.
Some nice gradients from Arrens, especially as we'd already climbed about ten kilometres from Argelès (where you have to be careful because there are lots of cars and lorries) ... It was a fine climb, but unfortunately it was cloudy when we arrived. I would therefore recommend the Soulor+Aubisque combo from Arrens, where the roads are quieter and the views magnificent!
De beaux pourcentages depuis Arrens, d'autant que nous avions déjà monté un dizaine de kilomètres depuis Argelès (où il faut être prudent car beaucoup de voitures et camions) ... Une belle montée, malheureusement dans les nuages pour notre arrivée. Je conseille donc plutôt le combo Soulor+Aubisque à partir d'Arrens où les routes sont plus tranquilles et la vue magnifique !
Good road and fairly regular percentages. Firm, but you unlock 1 of the most beautiful roads; the continuation to the Aubisque.

Spicy climb you have to cross to get from Arrens to the further Col d'Aubisque. But make no mistake, the Col de Soulor is absolutely worthwhile and a solid climb in its own right!!! The percentages remain firm throughout the climb and the environment with high mountains comes across as almost menacing! Absolutely a gem!
Pittige klim die je over moet om vanuit Arrens naar de de verderop gelegen Col d'Aubisque. Maar vergis je niet, de Col de Soulor is op zich al absoluut de moeite waard en een stevige klim!! De percentages blijven de hele klim stevig en de omgeving met hoge bergen komt haast dreigend over! Absoluut een juweel!
Difficult climb, no respite from Arrens. The scenery is magnificent all the way. Beware, there may be cows in the way. The view from the summit is one of the finest in the Pyrenees.
Montée difficile, aucun répit depuis Arrens. Les paysages sont magnifiques tout du long. Attention, des vaches peuvent se trouver en travers de la route. Le panorama au sommet est l'un des plus beaux des Pyrénées
Ascent from Argeles-Gazost. The climb is in 2 stages, with a 1st ascent to Arrens on a road in good condition, with a flat section, then the climb to the Col du Soulor, which is fairly uneven, with little traffic. Some of the sections are quite demanding with the changes in gradient. The last 3 kilometres were in the fog, with a bit of mud on the side of the road, but it was a nice climb with lots of colleagues on the road, which meant I wasn't riding alone. 43'52 from Arrens for the ascent
Montée depuis Argeles-Gazost. La montée se fait en 2 temps, avec une 1ère montée jusqu'à Arrens sur une route en bon état, avec une partie plate, puis la montée vers le col du Soulor, assez peu régulière, avec peu de circulation. Certains passages sont plutôt exigeant avec les changements de pourcentages. Les 3 derniers kilomètres étaient dans le brouillard, un peu de boue sur le côté de la route, mais une belle ascension avec pas mal de collègues sur la route qui permet de ne pas monter seul. 43'52 depuis Arrens pour la montée
