One of my favorite climbs in this area. Firstly because the views are amazing but secondly because at the top you reach a mountain plateau which today is an unpopulated army testing area.

If you have strong legs you can keep cycling along the abandoned town of Broves and you will reach the hilltop town of Bargeme which has two cafe/restaurants. (call ahead if you want to visit) Absolutely stunning views along the way.

You approach this climb from Bargemon, which you can reach from Callas, Claviers or Seillans. Road surface is excellent most of the way. Watch out for the goats near the top.

Col du Bel Homme, just because of the name you have to make a selfie with the sign on top! I climbed this col on 27 July 2021, coming from Le Muy, you climb from between the vineyards to Callas. From Callas, you can easily reach Bargemon. A nice ride to the start. The col du Bel Homme is a good climb. Not long and not very hard. When the road flattens out you'll see a sign where you can make a selfie for the people at home. The road climbs a little more. Next time I will continue, but now it was far enough for me. Back to the beach !
