I really enjoyed this pass. Its two sides! They are so different but both so interesting. This side is shorter, more demanding and the scenery is more varied than on the Dignois side. In my opinion, you have to do both, and the ideal way is to start from Digne. It's a real pass, and the road is a truly beautiful mountain road with some nice twists and turns. The forest is beautiful.
The descent to Digne is fantastic.
