Nice and easy climb but when i rode it the road was full of gravel. They had put a layer of gravel on top of the tarmac. So i had to ride it slow and try to find some good lanes.... read more

For the sake of completeness, I have added 2 photos of the climb I have to do on every bike ride on holiday.

Nice climb with especially a tough start. Starting this climb from this side means you have to dose the first km, otherwise you'll get very sour. The road is very steep up until the first hairpin. Then it goes steadily up until just before the mini center of le poet Celard where you have to turn left, a hairpin with again very steep gradients. But after 300 meters the way back is less steep. The last steeper part you have just past campsite le couspeau, a fantastic campsite and highly recommended, then the road goes up slowly with even some slightly descending strips to the main road between Bourdeaux and Dielefit.
