Great quality roads, and was quiet in January. Nice and sustained with a great descent giving views of Monaco. Did this on the way to Col de la Madone from Nice - great warmup!
Mostly moderate gradients, but some stunning scenery. At the bottom, the views are over the city of Nice. Then the road twists to give views in land to the mountains. After the Col de Quatre Chemin, the views are over the sea and the coast. A must do, not because it is especially difficult or long, but simply because of its history in the final stage of Paris-Nice, and because of the views.
Not the highest summit, however, I started at sea level in Villefranche Sur Mer, so a tough first 4km to Chemin du Vinagrier and then levels off for last 3.5km to summit. Worthwhile doing if you're in the area. Descent into Monaco is stunning

I took a 10-minute break to help a car that couldn't start, and then a 20-minute break because I had a puncture in my rear tyre. So next time I'll have to manage to improve my time!
Magnificent views on this climb, very pleasant to do early in the morning.

The first part of the climb is quite physical, but there are some superb views of the corniche that are a must-see!
Came up the Grande Corniche - it’s a rather abrupt start. Plenty of traffic - no views today - low lying cloud - we pushed on to the Trophy of Augustus.
Climb following the RGA route over the Col de Villefranche. The first few kilometres are in town but the road has a cycle lane. Arriving at the Col des Quatre Chemins, a ramp at around 9% over 900m forced me to stop. After that, the climb is steady and is accompanied by a short descent before reaching the sign for the pass. Take some photos before the descent, as the view from the signpost is nothing special.
Climbed 21 March 2022 during Paris-Nice Challenge, but from Col de Quatre Chemins. Then the last stretch to Col d'Eze is a breeze. Still a climb, though. No facilities at the summit. Nice views, though.
The people of Nice seemed so proud of it. So, yes, this climb offers some fine views of the coastline, but I was disappointed all the same. The road is good but rather busy (we are in the summer).
Cyclists have a corridor on the right-hand side of the road. The gradients are gentle. At the top? Nothing!
Rien !
A nice climb if you are visiting Nice. I did it twice just so I could get a PB! There is a bit of traffic leaving Nice but it soon turns into a low traffic ride. There are also a few flatter sections which helped my recovery. The view from the top section is very nice. I did both rides early morning
Very nice view as you approach the summit. Steep start when leaving the city for 2 KM. Climb with many changes of pace.
