Alpe Cavallotti / Cappella Fina via Unchio

A beautiful climb with little traffic and good pavement. The toughest sections are before Ungiasca and after Miazzina. The final stretch, in particular, is really tough and puts your legs and mind to the test after already 7–8 km of climbing.
It’s a challenging climb that offers great satisfaction once you reach the top. The view of Lake Maggiore from Miazzina is beautiful.
The first part was recently designated as a GPM (mountain pass) in the Giro d’Italia.

A very interesting and demanding climb, with little traffic and pleasant. The first section up to the falsopiano is pedalable, while the last 4 km are also challenging due to a last kilometre and a half with gradients to make Mortirolo envious. At the end of the climb there is a small chapel and a beautiful wooden fountain with very fresh water, a just reward for the effort.

Ascent is worthwhile! Fine road surface for road bikes. Not too busy with traffic. Halfway a village (Miazzina) where you can have a pit stop just fine.

It's a nice climb with some really beautiful viewpoints over the lake. The last 3 km are very demanding with points even at 20％. Done by mountain bike precisely to avoid any nasty surprises. At the top of Alpe Pala there is a view of the lake that is well worth all the effort put into the climb.
