Very nice climb with lots of hairpin bends. After the real climb you can turn right and continue on a very long false flat till Havelange

Nice steady long climb. A good alternative to the rosier but not as nice however. Road is not too busy

It does not show very well on the graph but the climb is very unregular with 4 flatter short parts in between the steeper parts. Though climb nevertheless.

You don't see how steep this climb is when you ride it. You just have the feeling that you are slow, but then you look at the graph and you see that it is actually quiet a challenging climb

A little Alpine feeling in Belgium.
Long nice climb, it is perfect to train for longer cols. The 3 sides are nice

A real test for every cyclist.
The second part feels almost like flat while it is still 9-10%. That says enough on how hard the first part is

The redoute is a bit like the ventoux: overhyped, not very scenic, hard but still manageable for every trained cyclist

Probably one of the steepest climbs of Brussels.
No traffic, nice green environment.
Perfect for interval training as you can make a loop with little traffic

Not as famous as mazzo, but it is harder, the locals told me it was crazy hard.it starts off much steeper than mazzo, then about half way there is a flat section ,which you pay for! There are some beautiful views and then it ramps up.problem is road is serrated concrete with steel drainage channels that can fit a foot.its difficult to keep momentum as it is really steep,my garmin said 26%.then you rejoin the road near top and it seems easy! I saw no-one on this road! It starts next to the tovo cemetery! Worth doing, as i did mazzo 5 times and i wanted to try another for 6. It is beautiful but hard. The hardness near the main t junction channeled zoncolan. The mazzo climb is hard because it is persistently steep, tovo climb is hard, then easy then crazy steep, choose your poison!

Did the 3 sides and twice Bedoin because I was nearby. Off course a mythical col but overhyped imo. There are so many climbs that are much nicer to ride.

H Viz. The formula is quite easy. For each segment of the climb (for example each 100m, but it could be each 10m as well to make it more precise) you do: (gradient * gradient) * 0.1 . If the segment has cobbles the result is multiplied by 1.7.

Will you share the formula for calculating difficulty points? I would really like to know how you calculate it. Perhaps it would also be nice to make a calculator where people can enter the details of a climb and get back a difficulty score, i.e. it allows you to map the elevation for every 100 m and then it calculates the difficulty of the climb.
Would also be more helpful for you for people who submit new climbs if they do these calculations themselves.

Nice climb through the forest with no cars, but be aware of the road conditions. In the lead up to this climb, there is a section with loose gravel, it mostly sits in the middle of the road, and ascending is fine. After this gravel section the rest of the climb has descent asfalt. Descending this climb can be very tricky, as you will hit the loose gravel at full speed, be very careful. The descent on the other side is doable, no gravel, but overall very bad road conditions. Fine if you do it alone, but I would be very careful with a group.

4 star climb, but unfortunately the road surface has really deteriorated. This side of the climb is doable with a road bike, but definitely not comfortable. Do not descend on a road bike (or be very, very careful) on the other side, as you will hit a section of very loose gravel at full speed...

Pro riders would start their stopwatch just before the 1st hairpin. Amazing views on this climb!

A really nice way up is from the Eastern Murg Valley side, its a very quiet narrow road that's really smooth with fiarly easy grades until the final part from the main road which is closed to cars

Heel mooi tapijtje langs typische mooie belgische huizen.

This is the closest 4th category climb near me (still 60k though) so I do this climb a few times a year.
Although there are cobbles it isn't very difficult, the cobbles aren't to bad and it isn't steep anywhere, the only thing u should remember that there are a few points that look like u are at the heighest point, but only if are on a very large square u are really on the top of the climb! U should also notice that alot of cars and motorbikes go up it and that there are a few events each year that close down the climb.

Short but steep, it is a nice little climb to do, u wont take long but it's a small holloway street that doesn't get alot of cars and it's a relief in the summer because it has shadow throughout.

A beautifull climb that is worth doing, the road is good, u travel past a few fields (with most of the time sheep in it) and through a little forest after that. The hardest part is in the beginning, as soon as u are past the forest the gradients become much easier, if u have a little left in the tank, attack here!

This climb is featured in the "Brabantse Pijl" every year and it's a beast, it's short but very steep! If u want a good time u should try to speed up before it, u have enough space to take a fast corner!
