If you drive from Ubachsberg towards Simpelveld, this climb starts on a side road on the edge of the built-up area. Is an excellent short runner that never gets really steep. At the end it is possible to turn left and descend to Simpelveld or turn right and climb a bit past the Vrouwenheide windmill to Mingersborg.
Als je vanuit Ubachsberg richting Simpelveld rijdt begint deze klim op een zijweg aan de rand van de bebouwde kom. Is een prima korte loper die op 50 meter na met 3% nooit echt steil wordt. Bij de eerste splitsing mogelijkheid om linksaf af te dalen naar Simpelveld of rechts aan te houden en nog stukje langs de molen van Vrouwenheide naar Mingersborg te klimmen.

Climbing technical of course not much, but this road is too beautiful to leave and is also located in an area (between Simpelveld and Wijlre) which is totally unknown but can offer a lot of climbing fun on deserted roads
Een makkelijke, korte maar wel een heel mooi klimmetje met fraaie uitzichten. Deze klim geeft ook echt het gevoel dat je over een "col" heen gaat. Vanuit Ubachsberg (daar klimt het al een beetje) de Veeweg in, die lichtjes omhoog loopt. Na de bocht naar links zie je de "col" voor je en vergeet niet schuin naar achteren te kijken waar een fraai uitzicht op Heerlen is. Na de "col" ontvouwt zich een prachtig uitzicht tot Duitsland aan toe (daarom heb je ook het gevoel dat je over een kam heen gaat). Hier rechts omhoog richting de molen waarbij het uitzicht op links steeds aanwezig blijft.
Klimtechnisch natuurlijk niet veel soeps, maar dit weggetje is te mooi om te laten liggen en ligt ook midden in een gebied (tussen Simpelveld en Wijlre) wat totaal niet bekend is maar héél veel klimplezier op uitgestorven weggetjes kan bieden
