De nieuwe situatie is een stuk beter want je hebt geen last meer van het autoverkeer. het fietspad (tweerichtings maar bijzonder breed) loopt lekker en loopt door tot aan de bebouwde kom van Ubachsberg waar je het laatste stukje gewoon rechts kan blijven fietsen. Enkele bulten lijken iets afgevlakt maar veel scheelt het niet t.o.v. de weg. De omgeving is nog steeds erg fraai. Nu dus een ster extra.

Een fraaie klim maar helaas over een drukke weg met maar een smalle fietsstrook er naast. De klim begint al enigszins voor de tunnel, daarna gaat het harder omhoog en door de bochten heen wisselen de percentages tot je in Ubachsberg bent. De omgeving is niet te versmaden maar zou mooier zijn als het rustiger zou zijn.
