Short, steep ascent with only a few initial climbs. At the beginning, the climb is surrounded by woodland, then the trees thin out and you can admire a great panorama, particularly from the summit at the Dalla Teresa restaurant.
The asphalt is excellent, having just been resurfaced. More treacherous is the descent towards Arquà, or Faedo, where there are significant gradients on ruined asphalt and very narrow roadways.
It is interesting to add this climb as a final stretch to the ascent to the Roverello Pass, thus composing an ascent that reaches five kilometres starting from Galzignano, a few hundred metres less (and a few percentage points more climbing) starting from Fontanafredda.
Salita corta e ripida solo in qualche strappo iniziale. Si sale all'inizio circondati dal bosco, poi le piante si diradano e si ammira un gran panorama, in particolare dalla cima in corrispondenza del ristorante Dalla Teresa.
L'asfalto è ottimo, appena rifatto. Più insidiosa la discesa verso Arquà, o Faedo, dove si trovano pendenze significative su asfalto rovinato e carreggiata strettissima.
Interessante aggiungere questa salita come tratto finale alla salita al passo Roverello, componendo così un'ascesa che raggiunge i cinque chilometri partendo da Galzignano, qualche centinaia di metri in meno (e di punti percentuali di salita in più) partendo da Fontanafredda.
