A lovely climb with very little traffic. The most challenging section begins near the motorway entrances, and for 3 km the road climbs with gradients consistently well above 10 per cent. After turning right, the road narrows; there’s no traffic and it remains easy to cycle, though the final 2 km are a little more challenging. There is a magnificent view from the summit over the Gulf of Kvarner and the islands (there is a short climb up a paved path just past the radio masts).
