Nothing memorable along the way. A few lovely bends. The same mountain range as the one I’d seen the day before from Le Planay.
The main attraction is the Sainte-Foy ski resort: the architecture respects the mountains and nature. Just chalets on a human scale. No pretentious excesses. The feeling of being in a ‘normal’ village…
So it is possible! Though no doubt less profitable.
In the immediate vicinity, I recommend the short but challenging climb up to Le Planay.

Alors, j’ai repris cette route D902 qui conduit à Tignes ou à l’Iseran depuis Bourg Saint Maurice dans l’espoir de retrouver une côte aussi sympathique.
Échec. Cette montée vers Bonconseil est sage et plutôt ordinaire. Une bonne route qui monte chastement. Les pourcentages pour parvenir à elle sont plus difficiles que la montée en soi.
Rien de mémorable en chemin. Quelques beaux virages. Le même massif montagneux que celui vu la veille depuis Le Planay.
Le principal intérêt est la station de ski de Sainte Foy : l’architecture respecte la montagne et la nature. Juste des chalets à taille humaine. Aucun délire prétentieux. Le sentiment d’être dans un village « normal »…
C’est donc possible ! Sans doute moins rentable.
Dans les environs proches, je recommande la petite montée costaude vers le Planay.
