Nice long climb that in terms of percentages often does not touch more than 'false flat' but where in Belgium can you climb more than 10 km? Therefore definitely recommended, also because of the beautiful views along the way. The tarmac is top notch and on weekdays there is not much traffic.

On top of the Signale de Botrange is another little hill you can climb to reach the very highest point, including a monument stone inaugurated by the King of Belgium.

In June 2024, as a publicity stunt, the summit was transformed into Mont Netflix for a week, during which you could climb a 7-metre-high scaffolding by bike to get above the 700-metre mark.

Versatile climb to Belgium's highest point. The road meanders delightfully at first before turning into a mostly straight wider road with bike lanes. The scenery changes from a deep valley to the beautiful plateau of the High Fens. Keep following the road until just before the end where you turn right followed by another gentle climb to the Signal de Botrange. Despite being a main road, it is still pretty quiet in terms of traffic.
