Climb up from the Weser valley. The first part goes up nicely. Then a somewhat flatter section and just before the left turn it really starts to rise after which the slope continues well until just before the highest point (which is more of a plain). Moderate to reasonable tarmac. The last part forms a cycle route and you can continue towards Belgium and the High Fens but count on 400 metres of bad road surface. In Belgium it then becomes fine again.
Klim vanuit het dal van de Weser omhoog. Het eerste deel loopt lekker op. Daarna een wat vlakker gedeelte en vlak voor de bocht naar links gaat het echt stijgen waarna de helling goed doorloopt tot vlak voor het hoogste punt (wat meer een vlakte is). Matig tot redelijk asfalt. Het laatste deel vormt een fietsroute en je kan de weg vervolgen richting België en de Hoge Venen maar reken dan wel op 400 meter aan slecht wegdek. In België wordt het dan wel weer prima.
