Not the steepest approach to the climb from Raeren to Roetgen, but it is the longest and - if you like greenery - also the most beautiful because almost the whole climb is through beautiful scenery, first nice and agricultural, then touching the built-up areas and continuing the climb through the forest to the finish. And you pick up a lot of altimeters of course. Very nice alternative if you want to go from Aachen to Roetgen and avoid the through roads.
