This one took me by surprise. The main point of this ride was supposed to be Przełęcz Okraj and I plotted the route through Przełęcz Rędzińska without thinking much about it.
In the beginning, everything was going smoothly, with the route winding through the villages. After three kilometres I started to think that something was wrong with me (or the bike) - I was way too tired for the part that I believed to be more or less flat. After that point, I acknowledged that this is a proper climb that should be treated with respect. And the gradient only started to increase! Going through a forest and reaching the top was really rewarding and I felt that hill in my legs for some time.
The road surface - mostly OK with minor potholes and some loose gravel in the corners, nothing to worry about while ascending. Car traffic - nearly nonexistent. Be aware - the other side of the pass offers a crazy descent with a noticeably worse surface!
