Kom je vanuit Vaals dan daal je eerst af en kan je in de aanloop flink vaart maken om de klim te starten. De klim begint ongeveer op het punt waar de Zieversbeek ontspringt. Het venijn zit h'm vooral in het begin rond de splitsingen van de Gemmenicherweg met de Schuttebergsweg en Wolfhaag. In het laatste stuk tot de top/op de grens vlakt de klim af.
Climb over a wide but not too busy road. From Vaals you have a nice descent after which you immediately turn into this climb. You don't benefit much from the speed you brought along because soon you just have to pedal yourself again - and sometimes quite briskly. Unfortunately, there is little real view (sometimes to the back) because of the trees but the scenery is certainly pleasant. At the top a real col after which fine views follow into Belgium. Good tarmac.
Klim over een brede maar niet al te drukke weg. Vanuit Vaals heb je een lekkere afdaling waarna je meteen in deze klim overgaat. Veel baat heb je niet van je meegenomen snelheid want al snel moet je gewoon weer zelf trappen - en soms ook best pittig. Helaas weinig echt vrij uitzicht (wel soms naar achteren) vanwege de bomen maar de omgeving is zeker aangenaam. Op de top een échte col waarna fraai uitzicht volgt België in. Goed asfalt.
