Even if you're used to Pyrenean and Alpine passes, the Pas De Peyrol is not to be taken lightly, particularly because of its last two km, which don't drop below 13%! At the top you can make out the pedestrian ascent to Puy Mary.

Gestart in Salers via Saint-Paul-de-Salers.

I descended from the summit, which was in the mist, to Falgoux. From the junction with the road to Salers, the road became a lot worse, with gravel on the road. In Falgoux, I chose the road to the Neronne for the climb. From there, it is first flat and a bit of a descent. The first few kilometres of climbing are very nice, not too steep and with a good rhythm. Just before the 2 km to go sign, a wall suddenly appears in front of you. From there, finding a rhythm is increasingly difficult. Every time I looked at my bike computer, I saw 12 or more. Fortunately, I knew exactly when I reached the bend that it was another 600 metres to my car and just a few hundred metres more to the top, so that was a good target. The last few metres along the parked cars and the walkers walking to the top feel like an eternity. At the top, I was lucky, exactly a moment that the clouds opened up and I could make some nice photos.

Done several years ago.
Excellent memory... rolling pass at the start and 2 or 3 very steep last km.
I remember the last right turn and then an endless ramp at over 10% before the finish... splendid view and fountain at the top!
I had found it very hard but at the time, done with an old aluminium frame from early 2000 with 39x25!!! If I did it again with my current bike, would probably be much more enjoyable

The Néronne and the first parts in the forest towards the Puy Mary are only warm-ups for the steep last 2 kilometers of the climb. After a faint turn, it's as if you suddenly encounter the Redoute. The surroundings and the view on the summit are splendid.
