Austria has many valleys and also many mountains, I think 45% of the country is mountains so you have to climb regularly to get somewhere. Don't forget that cutting corners in the mountains means that it can get steep along the way. This also applies to this climb, from the mundane Velden am Wortersee you can "cross" to Ossiach, over the highway over 25 kilometers and now only a little more than 14!
From the town you can cycle through the houses on a narrow street, the climb is a little longer but you must first get to Kranzlhofen. It remains steep and if you Unterwurzen by it goes downhill for a while, turn along the river and up again. The view is magnificent and you cycle in an open area. In the summer it is very hot here in the afternoon so leave on time.
Above a great view and the descent has two gravel strips as a surprise....
