Climbed on 29 June 2023. Completed the climb to Notre Dame in 54 minutes from Ambert (D906). This is actually the classic route. Could be applied here as 'alternative'. However, the real summit is a little further (about 1.5 km) on the summit La Croix des Prades 1085 metres (see photo). Good road surface, no facilities at the top, little further in June. Partly through forest. Regular climb (category 2). Hot in summer so water bottle filling in Ambert! There are also 2 good bike shops (and bike repairers) in Ambert.
Goed wegdek, boven geen faciliteiten, weinig verder in juni. Gedeeltelijk door bos. Regelmatige klim (categorie 2).
