However, the real summit is a little further (about 1.5 km) on the summit La Croix des Prades 1085 metres (see photo). Good road surface, no facilities at the top, little further in June. Beklommen op 29 juni 2023. De klim naar Notre Dame voltooid in 54 minuten vanuit Ambert (D906). Dat is eigenlijk de klassieke route. Zou hier aangebracht kunnen worden als 'alternatief'. Echter de échte top ligt even verder (circa 1,5 km) op de top La Croix des Prades 1085 meter (zie foto). Goed wegdek, boven geen faciliteiten, weinig verder in juni. Gedeeltelijk door bos. Regelmatige klim (categorie 2). Warm in de zomer dus bidon vullen in Ambert! In Ambert zijn ook 2 goede fietswinkels (en fietsherstellers).
