Not too difficult but boring climb over the outgoing road from Simpelveld towards N-281. Seen from the centre, the two tougher sections are just before the railway tunnel and outside the built-up area between the roundabout and entrance to the holiday park.
Niet te moeilijke maar wel saaie klim over de uitgaande weg van Simpelveld richting te N-281. Vanuit het centrum gezien zitten de twee zwaardere stukken net voor het spoortunneltje en buiten de bebouwde kom tussen de rotonde en ingang van het vakantiepark.
Not really worth mentioning. A narrow and moderate asphalt bike path along a through road. You automatically pick it up when you go from Simpelveld to the south. A nicer (but not steeper) alternative is to turn right after the viaduct and take the Gaasstraat which later on will merge with the main road.
Niet echt noemenswaardig. Een smal en matig asfaltfietspad langs een doorgaande weg. Je pikt deze automatisch mee als je vanuit Simpelveld naar het zuiden gaat. Een leuker (maar niet steiler) alternatief is om na het viaduct rechtsaf te gaan en de Gaasstraat te pakken die later weer met de hoofdweg samenvoegt.
Dull straight road up, nice as a descent but otherwise not. No beautiful scenery.
Is standard in m'n routes when I go to Limburg because here is an easily accessible parking lot, which is a must.
Saaie rechte weg omhoog, leuk als afdaling maar verder niet. Geen mooie omgeving.
Zit wel standaard in m'n routes als ik naar Limburg ga omdat hier een makkelijk te bereiken parkeerplaats ligt, dat is wel een aanrader.
