Froma the Sint Nicolaasstraat you turn onto the Sint Nicolaasbergweg where the climb starts and you get the first steep part until you reach the Stationstraat. After this, you cross the tracks of the Miljoenenlijn via the level crossing after which you turn left and get the second steep part of the climb until the point where you come out from under the trees. Then it becomes false flat towards Hartjensweg.

A varied climb which starts steep but continues relaxed after the railway crossing. Nice view to the right and this route to Baneheide is much nicer than the one via the Nijswillerweg.

The climb can also be started right after the descent of the Oude Molenweg. Then you can add some (steep) altimeters but then you have to cross a main road right after the start.
