One of my favourites because of the stupendous panorama from the top, I agree with the hardness of the route, which is tackled right from the first ramps, but the most challenging part comes after the red bar, which must be passed by hand, and the first bends in the forest are 22% Then, in the upper part, it becomes more pedalable, but still hard.... read more

Ascent done after Ghisallino and Ghisallo, definitely worth a visit, some challenging sections but I thought it would be worse. The view at the top does justice for the effort required.

We climbed it by MTB years ago, the climb is always steep but even in its steepness, I strongly recommend tackling it early and not in the summer months, the heat is atrocious.
We then descended from terz'alpe, second alpe and prim'alpe by MTB arriving at Canzo, shouldering the bike in the sections where it is not possible to get off the saddle

Not to be missed is the fact that it is done at night with the entire Po Valley lit up like a nativity scene. The climb from Eupilio to Lake Segrino is a kind of warm-up. From here it is a constant double-digit climb to the top with short stretches (1 km after the first stanga) even over 20%. Only after 950 m does it stabilise at around 10% and in the last 2 km of the traverse to the Consigliere hut it sometimes drops below that. Usually, when I arrive at the refuge, I leave the MTB and climb to the top of Cornizzolo for completeness. (About 20 minutes on foot)

(Circa 20 Min a piedi)

An 8 km climb, starts immediately with significant gradients for almost the entire climb, where you can take a breather in some sections and in the last 1.5/2 km. Breathtaking views in some sections over the whole of Brianza (especially in the final where there are not so many trees). Recommended for those who love climbs with these gradients.... At the top there are beautiful views (to say the least), a refuge and a sanctuary

Beautiful mountain climb and view. The road is well paved (much better than when I used to climb in MB as a kid) some sections are asphyxiating and give no respite until you get to the top and a priceless view opens up. There is little traffic as only the minibuses that take people up there who then launch themselves on paragliders. Absolutely must be done, but avoid days that are too hot

Bellissima montagna salita e vista.

Done on this hot November day... I am from Erba and I used to climb it as a boy on a mountain bike... today I arrived at the slopes from Bergamo... after 60km passing through Colle Brianza... and after a cold. A very hard climb that doesn't allow a moment's respite, but the memory of the view from the summit gave me enough energy to get there! Asphalt much better than I remembered

9 August 2024. Very tough climb. It starts immediately with gradients of 10-15%, then calms down for a moment and picks up again to a max of around 20%. Only the last two kilometres allow you to breathe. Today from 600 to 900 metres above sea level, I was the constant target of flies and horseflies, which were very annoying. On the descent, more than the potholes, I had to avoid the "cakes" of the cows. After about three kilometres there is a drinking fountain, useful for refuelling before the last six kilometres. The climb is as hard as two Viceroys or a Val Cava from Torre de Busi; it is worth it for the view, but I think I won't be thinking about it for a while.

9 agosto 2024. Salita molto dura.

Tough climb, but the view from the top is worth the effort! Many sections at 15/20% , in the last 2 km you relax. Beautiful passing animals ;-) very bad descent asphalt in very bad condition, be careful

Bellissimi animali in passaggio ;-) discesa molto brutta asfalto in pessime condizioni, fare attenzione

Really tough climb, done once, I don't think I would do it again.
Personally, I don't like climbs with garage ramp-type inclines.
Not beautiful asphalt but truly postcard-perfect scenery.
Glad I did it.

Not a very long climb but hard because it is not regular, with some climbs definitely not to be underestimated, beautiful views of the Brianza lakes. Recommended at least a 34/ 28.

Quite hard climb, since the start. If you are in the Lake of Como area, it is worth. It is a blind road with quite ruined asphalt. Beware of the vans carrying paragliders to the top: they are the only motorised vehicles (and always in a hurry on a very narrow road!) allowed to the otherwise closed-to-cars-road, after the barrell. Nice view at the top

Cheers
