A beginner cyclotourist who loves hills but is afraid of descents, I recommend this climb, which is impressive (what a slope!) but manageable if you don't force yourself: wind, wind, wind. I really want to do it again, and to discover other passes, of the same type but longer. In May, I'll try the Ballon d'Alsace via Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle (9 km around 7％ average).

Disadvantage is that it is a known tourist destination, so there is a lot of traffic going up.
