As shown this climb starts at a level crossing leaving Chateaulin, but you can add moderately steep climbing in various ways by starting from the river bank. On leaving town I found the wide road very quiet in summer 2019, with shallow gradients. It is easy to turn left too soon if planning to do the hill summit (I took a dead end to a farm house). Instead get to the main road summit then go left by a small group of houses. From here there is harder climbing to do on good tarmac, on a short public road that reaches all the way to the wind farm.
