The first part of the climb is fairly straightforward, but it gets more complicated with the steep gradients in the middle, which can reach over 15 %. The last 800 metres allow you to recover a little before starting the descent.

The first section to Husseren through the vineyards is relatively straightforward. After turning left at the entrance to Husseren, the steep gradients begin. Fortunately there are 2 rest areas. Soon after the descent you can climb back up to Holangsburg to enjoy the view over the Alsace plain! I didn't come across any cars after Husseren and the road is in average condition.

Beautiful climb between the vineyards. The middle section is indeed the hardest.
