How far is the Col de la Madone in the Alpes Maritimes?
If you start this climb from the junction between the Route des Alpes (D6202) and the D126, you add another 3 kilometres of climb.
And then it becomes a 1st category climb.
The road is wild and rather beautiful.
Watch out for the gravel on the way down.
Once you've reached the sign for the pass, drop down to Thiery and its local "auberge-bar": a lovely cul de sac frequented by very friendly locals.

La route est sauvage et plutôt belle.
Attention aux gravillons en redescendant.
Une fois arrivé devant la pancarte du col, laissez-vous descendre sur Thiery et son « auberge-bar » communale : un adorable cul de sac fréquenté par des locaux fort sympathiques.
