The first listed climb of Limburgs Mooiste 2024 route blue. Named here as the "IMSTENRADE". A lovely way to get right "on for the tour. A pretty nice climb with a steep section and very nice through the greenery.
De eerst genoteerde klim van Limburgs Mooiste 2024 route blauw. Hier benoemd als de "IMSTENRADE". Een heerlijke manier om gelijk "aan te staan voor de tour. Een mooie fraaie klim met een steil stuk en erg mooi door het groen.
The steep Kleekampsweg can also be entered from Benzenrade, which is a nicer route than the one from De Euren. Benzenrade itself is a nice hamlet and from the stream valley the way goes up via two short hollow roads (quite steep). Then a slight descent, under the viaduct and to the right into the Kleekampsweg where you can really get going: a nice and steep road up through a beautiful forest. Lovely route. At the end there are some views, e.g. over the Wilhelminaberg.
De pittige Kleekampsweg kan uit ook vanuit Benzenrade worden aangereden, wat een mooiere route is dan vanuit De Euren. Benzenrade zelf is een fraai gehuchtje en vanuit het beekdal gaat de weg via twee korte holle wegen (best steil) omhoog. Daarna een lichte afdaling, onder het viaduct door en rechtsaf de Kleekampsweg in waar je echt aan de bak mag: een fraaie en steile weg omhoog door een prachtig bos. Heerlijke route. Op het eind nog wat uitzicht, o.a. over de Wilhelminaberg.
