i climbed from val d’isere actually, to avoid nearly 4km worth of dark tunnels from Tignes (uphill on way up) without separate bike lane, with traffic. From val D it was superb! stunning views, thrilling heights and spectacular top of climb. training ground for Bora and Visma guys today pre TDF ! pass was closed (12/6/24) but you could ride to top of col, road closure was 300m past the col. lots of marmots!
