Very pleasant climb. Often used as a descent after the smeysberg, but in my opinion is well worth riding up.
Zeer aangename beklimming. Wordt vaak gebruikt als afdaling na de smeysberg, maar is naar mijn mening zeker de moeite waard om omhoog te rijden.
Nice climb that takes you from the Lane Valley to the Ice Valley. 90-degree bend at the base ensures that you approach the steepest part from standstill. The climb continues for a very long time, even after you turn left towards Huldenberg centre.

Holstheide starts with a brisk first section where you have to get going right away. Then it flattens out a bit, but it keeps going for a while without getting really easy at all. It's one of those climbs where you constantly have to keep pedalling to the top.

This climb opposite of the smeysberg is a very fun climb with goad roads and not a lot of traffic, altough this is not as popular since more people take this as a descent I would really recommend doing this climb and taking the smeysberg as a descent, it's absolutely one of the most fun climbs in the region!
After climbing Moskesstraat, climbing Holtsheide is a breeze. The first few hundred metres are a bit steep, but the climb then quickly flattens out. The climb does continue for quite a while before you can rest your legs at the top.

This climb can also be called the little irritating brother of the Smeysberg. It can be done with the off-ramp, but you will certainly suffer in the first part of the climb. Lors des deux dernières éditions, elle venait directement après la Moskesstraat et donc permettait d'achever le travail de sape entamé dans ce mur pavé. En elle-même la Holstheide n'est pas un foudre de guerre : bien revêtue, pas très pentue mais assez longue et agréable, sinuant dans un milieu champêtre. Il m'est arrivé plusieurs fois d'y voir des faisans traverser la chaussée, sans se presser…

Mooie beklimming, goed asfalt en lekker overzichtelijk. Waardoor het een goeie afdaling is als je vanuit bijvoorbeeld de smeysberg komt.
A beautifull climb that is worth doing, the road is good, u travel past a few fields (with most of the time sheep in it) and through a little forest after that. The hardest part is in the beginning, as soon as u are past the forest the gradients become much easier, if u have a little left in the tank, attack here!
