A double climb. On the one hand, the asphalt is so bad that you have to look hard for a usable track (which there usually is, usually against the side) and where hard descending can be a big risk. On the other hand it is a road that you can see steeply going up the mountain (the northern slope of the Eifel) and where you have a nice view towards the north and the lignite power plant of Weissweiler. Where you go to the right there is some gravel and the last piece is very bumpy. At the shelter is the highest point.
Taking into account narrow carbon rims ;-): two stars (or maybe only one). For wider tires this is certainly a challenging climb.
Een tweeledige klim. Enerzijds is het asfalt zo slecht dat je goed moet zoeken naar een bruikbaar spoor (wat er meestal wel is, meestal tegen de zijkant aan) en waarbij hard afdalen een groot risico kan in houden. Anderzijds is het wel een weggetje dat je mooi voor je uit steeds steiler tegen de berg (de noordelijke helling van de Eifel) op ziet lopen en waar je boven mooi uitzicht richting het noorden en de bruinkoolcentrale van Weissweiler hebt. Waar je naar rechts gaat ligt wat grind en het laatste stukje is erg hobbelig. Bij de schuilhut is het hoogste punt.
Rekening houdend met smalle carbon velgen ;-): twee sterren (of misschien zelfs maar één). Voor de bredere banden is dit zeker wel een uitdagend klimmetje.
