Due to the heavy traffic up to the junction at the Red Cross, this climb is not one of my favourites; I prefer the other climbs up the big Feldberg! However, the climb from Königstein is one of the steeper ones and therefore a must! The last part from the Rote Kreuz is impressive: very good road surface and steep inclines through the bends.
Aufgrund des starken Verkehrs bis zum Abzweig am Roten Kreuz gehört dieser Anstieg nicht zu meinen Favoriten; ich mag die anderen Anstiege auf den großen Feldberg lieber! Allerdings gehört der Anstieg ab Königstein zu den steileren und damit zum Pflichtprogramm! Der letzte Teil ab dem Roten Kreuz ist schon beeindruckend: sehr guter Straßenbelag und kräftige Steigungen durch die Kurven.
